“My Favorite Movies” Series: Menace II Society
I decided I would post trailers of my favorite movies. One per post. Sorry in advance if the movies become broken because they’ll all be linked from youtube. Here’s day 67:
Menace II Society. This week in honor of Black History Month we’re going to do all movies either starring, directed by, or about African Americans. The Hughes Brothers Menace II Society is like a companion piece to last week’s pick, Boyz N the Hood. However, it is decidedly darker. While Boyz certainly has it’s dark moments, I find it doesn’t disturb me as much as Menace II Society. That said, don’t choose to watch one over the other. Watch ‘em both!! They’re good.
